Pitch Competition

Young entrepreneurs need a way to test their ideas. We’re partnering with the University of Delaware Horn Program to help them do that. Students from local universities will have the chance to pitch their business idea to a panel of venture capitalists. The best ideas will earn a cash prize to help them get their business started.

Edmondo Robinson, M.D., MBA, FACP

Edmondo J. Robinson, M.D., MBA, FACP, has been the Chief Transformation Officer for Christiana Care Health System since January 2016. In this role, Dr. Robinson has responsibility for transformation of health care delivery to advance our population health initiatives and move from volume-based to value-based care. Using an entrepreneurial spirit he works closely with Service Line and Essential Services leadership as well as other internal and external partners to meet strategic goals of optimal health, exceptional experience and organizational vitality with a focus on innovation.

Ben Milne

Ben Milne is the founder and CEO of Dwolla, a payments startup building the ideal API to move money. Under Ben, the Des Moines-based company has raised over $35 million from investors, like Andreessen Horowitz and Union Square Ventures, and has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the world’s “50 Most Innovative Companies”. Ben has been named as one of Forbes’ “Disruptors of the Year” and has appeared on Inc. Magazine's in its annual 30 under 30 collection, Bloomberg TV, and The TODAY Show. He was also recognized for his work by MIT Technology Review in its annual "35 Innovators Under 35" list.
